Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has reassured residents, investors and visitors that Lagos remains safe, secure and open for business.
He stressed that his administration will continue to prioritise the protection of lives and property across the state.
The governor gave the assurance after presiding over a meeting of the Lagos State Security Council, where top security officials reviewed the state’s security situation and strategies for maintaining peace and stability.

Sanwo-Olu said the successful hosting of the international investment forum demonstrated the confidence that local and foreign investors have in Lagos as a secure destination for business and economic growth.

He noted that the summit attracted investors from within and outside Nigeria who were eager to establish new ventures or expand their existing investments in the state.
To underscore the state’s security preparedness, the governor arrived at the summit venue alongside senior military, police and intelligence officers shortly after the Security Council meeting.
During his address, he invited the security chiefs to stand for recognition, drawing applause from participants and international delegates.

“We are hosting an international event, Invest Lagos 3.0, which has been well attended by foreign and local investors who are eager to either expand their investments here or start fresh businesses,” Sanwo-Olu said.
“We will continue to remain vigilant and ensure that our residents and visitors are adequately protected. Lagos is safe, and we will keep it that way.”
The Security Council meeting brought together key military, police and intelligence leaders as part of efforts to strengthen inter-agency collaboration and sustain peace across the state.

Those in attendance included Brigadier-General Ayokunle Owolabi, Commander of the 9 Brigade; Commodore A. Adams-Aliyu, Commander of Nigerian Navy Ship (NNS) Beecroft; Air Commodore Mohammed Imam, Commander of the 651 Base Services Group (BSG), Ikeja; Deputy Commissioner of Police Adesina Lawal, who represented Lagos State Commissioner of Police Tijani Fatai; and the Lagos State Director of the Department of State Services (DSS).
He said the state would continue to strengthen cooperation among security agencies to improve intelligence gathering, enhance rapid response capabilities and ensure the safety of residents and visitors across Lagos.
