Seun Ogunsakin crowned ITF Africa Regional champion

Seun Ogunsakin has won the ITF Africa Regional Championship J200 event in Cairo, Egypt, battling back from a set down to defeat Botswana’s Ntugamili Raguin 1-6, 7-6, 6-3 in the final.

The Nigerian junior dropped the opening set but showed tremendous resilience to force a second‑set tiebreak, which he clinched to level the match. He then outlasted his opponent in a decisive third set to claim the title.

Ogunsakin had earlier defeated an Egyptian player in the semifinals to book his place in the championship match.

The victory marks a milestone for the Nigerian prospect, who continues to build his profile on the ITF junior circuit. The J200 level is among the highest tiers of junior tennis, attracting top talent from across the continent.
