The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has approved the appointments of Agada Theophilus and Brian Dennis to lead its newly restructured New Media and Strategic Communications directorate.
The political appointments were announced in a statement issued on Wednesday by the NDC National Publicity Secretary, Osa Director, as part of the party’s ongoing efforts to enhance its public relations machinery.

According to the opposition party, the selection of the two communications experts is aimed at injecting fresh energy and modern expertise into the party’s public image.

Theophilus, who takes over as the substantive Director of New Media and Strategic Communications, joins the national secretariat with an extensive background spanning corporate brand management, institutional public relations, political campaigns, and digital media administration.
Theophilus is an Associate of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR).
His academic portfolio includes a Master of Arts degree in Development Communications, with a specialized focus on strategic communication for social and institutional growth.
He is also currently a doctoral candidate conducting advanced PhD research into election administration and management.

Working alongside him is Dennis, who has been designated as the Deputy Director of New Media and Strategic Communications.
Dennis brings seven years of practical experience as a communications analyst, specifically specializing in strategic and political communication frameworks.
He holds a Masterโs degree in Peace and Conflict Resolution.

The NDC leadership expressed strong optimism regarding the appointments, stating that the combined expertise of the new directors will amplify the party’s official voice and modernize its media strategies ahead of future political engagements.
The party added that it remains fully confident that the new leadership team will deepen its digital and conventional engagement with Nigerians across all information dissemination platforms.
