“Being respected more important than being liked”- Chidimma Adetshina says after emerging Miss Universe first runner-up

“It is better to be respected to be liked,” this is the statement released by Chidimma Adetshina after she emerged the runner-up at the recently concluded Miss Universe.

Chidimma Adetsina, a Nigerian representative finished second only to Denmark’s representative, Victoria Kjaer Theilvig, who was crowned winner at the 73rd edition of the global Miss Universe pageant.

According to her, being respected is more important than being liked.

Adetshina stated this while responding to a question from a judge during the finals of the 73rd Miss Universe Competition at the Arena CDMX in Mexico City, early Sunday morning.

ā€œI feel like being respected is more important than being liked. We live in a society where we often donā€™t feel respected because of who we are, and I feel like when you respect yourself, you respect others around you and respect is really important,ā€ she said.

Chidimma Vanessa Adetshina emerged as the first runner-up after losing the crown to Miss Denmark, Victoria Kjaer Theilvig.

Her exceptional performance and grace captivated both judges and audiences.
