Tijesunimi Davies, a budding Nigerian movie actor who is better known as King Tijesunimi has been handpicked by the gatekeepers as the next big television personnel.
A burgeoning thespian, he sat with News Round The Clock (NRTC) where he discloses his dreams and aspirations and target for the Nigerian movie industry.
As a young man chasing dreams, King Tijesunimi is not only an actor, he is also a social media content creator and content strategist.
Born in February 1995 in Lagos state, Davies, a graduate of Economics from the prestigious higher institution, Caleb University reveals he has always desired to be on the screen.
As a matter of fact, the burgeoning actor was crowned the leader of the drama club dubbed Royal Family during his time in the Lagos state-based higher institution.
King Tijesunimi Discusses His Dreams And Aspirations
“When I was a kid I wanted to be a super hero (spider man was my favorite then) I told my aunt then (Aunty Dami) and she didnāt laugh at me, she said I could be anything I want,” Davies said.
He continued, “I realized overtime that the only professional that I couldnāt get bored of or that could allow me be anything I want even a hero“
Davies further stated, “is an actor and I had loved movies since I was a kid , I would stay awake all night even on exam days watching“
In the latter part of the interview, the emerging thespian takes us through his childhood route.
He went on to state, “Movies, I would put the tv volume on the lowest and anytime I heard my parents coming out of their rooms I would put off the tv and pretend like I was sleeping on the couch, I loved it !!! Everything about the movies intrigued and it still does“
Those Heinous Childhood Nights… Pursuing Goals And Target
During the session, Davies who appeared in Chief Daddy 2 spoke about the tough nights he has to go through as an actor.
He had this to say, “tough and rough , some good days and a lot of bad ones and thatās why I know I love what I do because it really doesnāt matter how tough it gets , itās worth it“
“I want to be one of the greatest artist in Africa if that doesnāt inspire the next gen I donāt know what will,” he went further to say.
The actor also had this to say about his dreams and aspirations, “I want them to believe anybody can become what and who they chose to be by Gods grace“
“Competing with the biggest in the Africa industry for screen time , be at the top of the nollywood industry and Africa entertainment industry as a whole,” he concluded.
Inspiring The Burgeoning Generation
In the concluding part of the session, King Davies admonished the burgeoning generation, leaving a message for them.
He stated that it is quintessential they inspire themselves and keep believing.
He had this to say, “you canāt use what people say to motivate yourself , your dreams and motivations need to come from inside of you“
“So no matter how lonely it gets sometimes, or the lack of support itās alright , the vision is inside you not inside them,” he added.
Davies went forward to state, “believe even when you donāt see it , and take it one step at a time and celebrate each step of the way so you donāt feel stuck“
