Nigerian businessman Blord has been released from Kuje prison after meeting his bail conditions.

He walked out of the correctional centre on Monday evening and later spoke to journalists in a video that quickly spread online.

In his message after leaving custody, Blord said he was grateful to everyone who stood by him during the period he spent in detention.

He thanked activist Omoyele Sowore and his team for their support, and also appreciated people who contributed time, money, and effort to his release. He said those who supported him would be blessed for their actions and support.

He also said he was relieved to be out and ready to return home, adding that he felt fine after regaining his freedom.

He wrote: โ€œIโ€™m out, Iโ€™m good, and Iโ€™m going home. I want to say thank you to Soworeโ€™s team. I want to say thank you to everybody that has been fighting for me.

โ€œI want to appreciate every single person that put in their efforts, their time, their money, and everything. I won’t forget it. May God bless you, and God will always stand for you.”

Blord was sent to prison after a court order linked to his online dispute with social media personality VeryDarkMan.

The disagreement between both sides had earlier gained attention online before it later moved into legal action.
