NELFUND begins April 2025 student upkeep payments, assures prompt resolution of delays

The Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) has begun the disbursement of April 2025 upkeep allowances to eligible student beneficiaries nationwide.

This was disclosed in a statement issued on Monday by Oseyemi Oluwatuyi, the fund’s Director of Corporate Communications.

“While most payments have been successfully processed, a small number of beneficiaries may experience a delay due to the recent upgrade on our payment and application processing system. This system upgrade is expected to enhance security and support the timely disbursement of upkeep allowances in subsequent payment cycles,” the statement said.

NELFUND added that it is actively working with relevant stakeholders to address the minor delays and ensure all qualified students receive their payments without further inconvenience.

“We appreciate the patience and cooperation of all stakeholders as we continue to improve service delivery for the benefit of Nigerian students.”
