President Bola Tinubu arrived in Nairobi in the early hours of Monday for the high-level Africa Forward Summit.
The gathering focus on economic growth, climate action and stronger regional partnerships across the continent.
The presidential aircraft touched down at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport at about 12:18 a.m. local time.
He received a warm welcome from senior Kenyan officials led by Kenya’s Cabinet Secretary for Foreign and Diaspora Affairs, Musalia Mudavadi, alongside Kenya’s High Commissioner to Nigeria, Isaac Parashina.

The summit, also known as the Africa/France Summit, was jointly convened by Kenyan President William Ruto and French President Emmanuel Macron.
The gathering brings together African leaders, policymakers, investors and development partners to discuss key issues shaping the continent’s futurem
They’ll also discuss trade expansion, digital innovation, climate resilience and infrastructure development.

It also aims to strengthen diplomatic cooperation and foster strategic partnerships capable of driving sustainable economic growth across Africa.
Agenda
Tinubu’s participation reflects Nigeria’s push to deepen its influence in continental affairs while attracting investment opportunities that align with his Renewed Hope agenda.
According to a statement issued by presidential spokesman Bayo Onanuga, the President is expected to hold a series of bilateral and multilateral engagements during the summit.
The meetings are expected to centre on economic cooperation, trade opportunities and partnerships in critical sectors such as agriculture, technology, climate action and marine development.

The President travelled with a delegation comprising senior cabinet members, diplomats and heads of strategic government agencies.
Among those on the trip are Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Bianca Ojukwu; Minister of Agriculture, Abubakar Kyari; Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola; Minister of Environment, Balarabe Abbas Lawal; Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Jumoke Oduwole; and Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Bosun Tijani.
Also in the delegation are Ambassador Sola Enikanolaiye, Ambassador Ayodele Oke, officials of the Nigerian Investment Promotion Council, and the Director-General of the National Council on Climate Change, Omotenioye Majekodunmi.
