Tonto Dikeh clarifies reconciliation with ex-husband

Born-again actress and humanitarian Tonto Dikeh has clarified her recent reconciliation with ex-husband Olakunle Churchill, stressing that it is strictly for co-parenting their son and not a rekindling of romance.

She made the statement during a livestream session with blogger Stella Dimoko-Korkus, where she revealed details about the surprising reconciliation.

After a post on Instagram hinted at the development, Dikeh addressed speculation about her relationship status. She explained that the reconciliation focused solely on their son, King Andre.

She wrote, “If you read my post carefully, you would know that it is the love my son has found, not the love that I have found. We are back as parents. God has blessed us with a beautiful son that we need to join hands to take care of.”

Dikeh and Churchill married in 2015, but the union ended in 2017 amid controversy. The pair later became known for exchanging heated words on social media.

In a recent turn of events, Dikeh announced that she and Churchill had buried the hatchet after a decade-long public feud.

During the livestream, the 40-year-old also spoke about her spiritual calling to become a pastor, a path she said she had known since age 19.

She said, I have always had this calling right from when I was a child. At 19, I was going to be a pastor until I just ran away for no reason. I’ve been in church since I left secondary school. So I’ve known God intimately, I’ve known God intensely, for as long as I was a child. And I’ve always known that I have this calling.”

Dikeh emphasized that her life had been far from ordinary, insisting that few people could have survived her experiences.

She added that God had called her for a purpose and allowed her to endure challenges so she could emerge as the firebrand she is today.
