Before The Feast: Falz debuts music project to embody Friday night cruise

On Friday, June 7, Nigerian recording artiste, Folaranmi Falana who is better known as Falz The Bahd Guy or simply Bop Daddy released the extended play (EP), Before the Feast.

The project features other notable artistes such as Phyno, Adekunle Gold, Odumodublack, amongst several others.

Falz

This is Falzā€™s first music project in two years, in 2022, he released BAHD. Following the emergence of Before The Feast, Falz has been trending on social media and music pundits have been applauding him for releasing a music project that connects with various ethnicities and tribes in Nigeria.

The sensational rapper worked with predominantly artistes from the Eastern part of Nigeria to show his proficiency as a songwriter and a creative. Falz cannot be pigeonholed; prior to the release of his new EP, he was functioned a jocular musician, then he transitioned into an activist on Moral Instruction and collaborating with Simi in 2016 for the Chemistry EP.

Falz has been able to show himself time and again that he is prepared to stretch beyond his comfort zone and become the best version of himself continuously.

The music emerged midnight while Nigerians slept. Falz put out an album that is about cruise, Epicureanism, the fast life and most interesting, creating a music project that cuts across ethnicity and tribe. Falz is looking to appeal to those in the Southeastern part of Nigeria.

  1. How Many (featuring Crayon)

Falz worked Mavins recording artiste, Crayon on the opening track, ā€œHow manyā€. The single is talking about the number of women and female fans celebrities have to deal with each and every single night.

Additionally, the single talks about the conundrum of being a superstar, it is almost impossible to settle down with someone when everyone wants you.

  1. Popping tonight (featuring Shaybo and Phyno)

ā€œPopping tonightā€ is all about embracing the hedonism that comes with the nightlife. The single also features emerging artiste, Shaybo and veteran rapper, Phyno.

  1. Chop The Life

Interestingly, this is one of the two singles that the talented rapper didnā€™t feature anyone. In ā€œchop the lifeā€, he speaks about how he is able to enjoy the pros that comes with being a superstar.

Hey, chop the life.

  1. Who Go Pay? (Featuring Adekunle Gold)

This single features Adekunle Gold, one of the most talented solo artistes in Nigeria.

  1. Shake Kaka

Shake kaka simply interests to shaking oneā€™s body. Falz discusses how itā€™s quintessential for women to devoid any form of being bland and enjoy the moment, that is, make sense of what is ongoing and dance to the groove.

  1. Ndi Ike (featuring Flavour, Odumodublack)

Falz worked with sensational artiste, Flavour and macho-masculinity rapper, Odumodublack on ā€˜Ndi Ikeā€™.

ā€œNdi Ikeā€ an Igbo word translates to ā€œthe powerfulā€.

Final Wordsā€¦

Before The Feast is an interesting music project, though short and succinct, Falz made his objective known. He simply wanted to appeal to those from the eastern part of Nigeria.

Overall, he did well on the project, he is an excellent and has not failed to showcase his expertise as a musician and an entertainer.
