Popular Nigerian social media personality and critic, VeryDarkMan, has accused Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Tinubu, of issuing threats against him.
The allegation was made in a video shared on his Instagram page on Friday, where he claimed his safety was at risk.
The development follows a public disagreement between VeryDarkMan and content creator King Mitchy. The dispute reportedly began after King Mitchy renovated a public school within six days, a project said to have received financial backing from Seyi Tinubu. VeryDarkMan had questioned her over an alleged failure to give an account of public donations she had received since 2025.
In the heat of the exchange, VeryDarkMan alleged that Seyi Tinubu was behind the sponsorship of King Mitchy’s charity activities.
In a fresh video, he appealed to Nigerians to hold both Seyi Tinubu and King Mitchy responsible should anything happen to him. He also shared details of an alleged message King Mitchy sent to his associate, Kokopee.

Last night, this is the chat King Mitchy sent to my friend, Kokopee. And this is part of the chat. She said, ‘Hold VDM ooo. Either we talk on the phone and settle this, because the matter don serious ooo. Seyi just called me now to explain everything. Talk to VDM because what I heard just now, hmmm, I’m afraid.’
“Seyi go far ooo. Na me know wetin he tell me on phone. Protect your bro. My life is being threatened. I just want to put it out there that if anything happens to me, it’s King Mitchy and Seyi. They both know what they’ve spoken on the phone. King Mitchy is so scared that she wants to come and meet me so that we can quickly settle to appease Seyi because Seyi is so angry. Seyi Tinubu is so influential and powerful that he can command the IGP and DSS boss. Anything Seyi likes, he can do. I want Nigerians to know that it is because I am speaking about the evil of this government that Seyi Tinubu is coming for me.
“A threat to my life has been issued. If anything should happen to me and my close ones, hold @seyitinubu and King Mitchy responsible. THIS IS NOT A JOKE. I DON’T FEEL SAFE. Seyi Tinubu has the power and connections. I DON’T FEEL SAFE,” he said.
As of the time of filing this report, neither Seyi Tinubu nor King Mitchy had publicly responded to the allegations.
