Baci cooked for 93 hours and 11 minutes to set the record a few months back while Alan Fisher cooked for 119 hours and 57 minutes at his Irish-themed restaurant in Matsue to trash Baci’s earlier record.

In their reactions, Nigerians hailed Baci for the recording, noting that records are meant to be broken as she broke someone’s record earlier. They encouraged her not to give up.

Baci in her reaction congratulated Fisher, noting that she’s still a Guinness World Record holder in spirit.

Politics: Supplementary budget

Nigerians, especially opposition parties have continued dragging President Bola Tinubu for signing into law the 2023 supplementary appropriation bill of N2.17 trillion.

Some of the allocations included in the supplementary budget include a presidential yacht, vehicles for lawmakers, computers, and renovation of the Vice president and president lodge.

NRTC WEEKLY gathered that this made Nigerians talk as they opined that the president has nothing to offer the country but to make the suffering crescendo.

Business: NLC threatens strike

Mixed reactions have trailed the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) threatening strike. NRTC WEEKLY confirmed that NLC and Trade Union Congress (TUC) planned to embark on an industrial strike on November 14th as a result of an increase in commodities, a bad economy, and others.

However, the National Industrial Court, NIC, sitting in Abuja, on Friday, stopped NLC and TUC from embarking on the said strike.

In their reactions, some Nigerians throw their weight behind the strike, stating that the only thing the government understands is strike while some said the planned strike will be called off after a close door meeting with the president after the leaders of the unions received some take-home.

NRTC WEEKLY gathered that the Unions have canceled a few of their planned protests after meeting with the president.

Many Nigerians worry about the potential impact on daily life, while others support the NLC’s efforts to address economic issues.
