Ondo Poll: APC flagged off its membership revalidation exercise across wards 


Ahead of the primary election scheduled for April 20th in Ondo State, the All Progressives Congress (APC) has initiated its membership revalidation exercise across the electoral wards spanning the 18 local government areas of the state.

This was disclosed in a statement by Aiyedatiwa’s Chief Press Secretary, Ebenezer Adeniyan.

The event commenced at Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa’s residence in Igbokoda, Ilaje Local Government Area, where he revalidated his party membership, confirming his eligibility to contest in the primary.

Chairing the membership revalidation committee, Barrister Yakubu Bashir Bello underscored the significance of the process, emphasising its primary objective of ensuring that only bona fide members of the party can partake in the primary. 

He stressed that the accuracy of the membership list is vital for maintaining transparency and fairness in the electoral process.

Responding to the commencement of the revalidation exercise, Governor Aiyedatiwa commended the APC leadership and applauded the initiative, highlighting its alignment with the party’s fundamental principles. 

He emphasized the exercise’s importance in preserving the party’s integrity and its commitment to democratic ideals.
