Nigerian Afrobeats star Davido has unveiled plans for his debut festival in London, where he will not only perform as the main act but also personally curate the lineup for the entire event.
The Grammy-nominated singer shared the news via X (formerly Twitter), announcing that the Davido & Friends Festival is scheduled to take place at Crystal Palace Bowl on Friday, August 14.
He also noted that this will be his sole outdoor performance in London this summer.

According to the announcement, presale tickets will be available from March 26 at 10 a.m. GMT, while general ticket sales will begin the following day at the same time.
The event forms part of Palace Bowl Presents, a newly introduced concert series running from July 31 to August 16 at the historic venue. The programme will feature a variety of international headliners performing across different dates.
Among the already confirmed acts are gospel stars Tasha Cobbs and Kirk Franklin, who are set to headline on August 2.

Over the years, it has welcomed numerous legendary performers, and notably, no Nigerian artist has previously headlined the venue.

The project received widespread acclaim and further strengthened his influence on the global Afrobeats scene. One of its standout tracks, ‘With You’ featuring Omah Lay, surpassed 100 million streams on Spotify and earned him a Grammy nomination.
